March 31st weekly update! Spiral Thunder

Heya gang,
Sorry for the delay on this week's update. This week was quite hectic so I lost  a few days of work. But I still have some stuff to show all ya so let's get into it. 
I hit a few road bumps with Renapet this week. Nothing too major, just a few issues with some of the animations. I wanted to do the animation for the sex canvas and the anal scene ( specifically the tail), and then work on thee code for Rena Catch. But unfortunately I did 3 revisions for the sex canvas animation before I got something that I kinda liked, and ended up doing something similar to the tail in the anal scene. I guess I'm still learning on how to properly do these bigger anims, but I'll keep working on it so I can make them more efficiently. I'll post the wip's for them below.   
I also did a little pic of Brigitte as a warm up. I'm not to happy with the colors, so I'll probably edit them down the line. But it was a fun little doodle. I might do something more with it when I have less on my plate.
I also having been thinking of doing a small update to Neko Touch and adding a new scene along with a few extra features. So I doodled a quick mock up of an oral scene. I don't know when this will be done, but I guess this will be the start of an update to the game.
For animations, I also worked a bit on Shantae and the Thwompette anims as warm ups and cool downs. I made a post on Patreon about those to show the progress of them so far.
For this week, I'm going focus on getting Rena Catch playable and in the demo and working on the anal scene as well. I'm also going to try and get the Shantae anim done since I don't want to extend my backlog any more. I'll throw up the poll for April's animation once I finish Shante, just so I don't bite off more than I can chew.

March 23rd weekly update! Rodeo Roundabout

Hey everyone,

Hope you've been doing well. This week was spent mostly on the UI Test demo for Renapet that you can find here or on the game's itch.io page



This is just a small test demo just to make sure all the builds work for each system and for you all to see the progress of the UI yourself, so unfortunately there's no gameplay as of yet. But now I'll be able to use this demo as the base as I expand on the game. I'm going to work on the anal sex scene and implementing the Rena-Catch mini-game next. As well as the status menu so you can see how those scenes are changing Rena's stats. Then I'll start work on implementing the Beat-Em-Up portion of the game.

In other news, I also did a small Azura edit from Fire Emblem in the GBA game's style, based on the Ninian sprite. I made it just as a warm up, but I might do something with it in the future.



This week I'll be working more on the upcoming Renapet demo and the Shantae animation loop from this month's anim poll.

March 18th weekly update! Quarantine Kick

Heya gang,

Hope you all have been staying safe and heathy. This Corona Virus seems to be getting worse and worse by the day, so make sure you are taking care of yourself. Also make sure to get some fresh air every now and then just to makes sure you don't get cabin fever from being cooped up inside for so long. Anyway onto the lewd stuff.

I was implementing the UI button script for the sex canvas buttons, (the anal button specifically), using the built in texture button in Godot. But I wanted it to be handled differently so I ended up coding my own script that manages it the way I want. Now, when you're hovering over the button or it has keyboard focus, Rena will play a initial anim, then go into a loop, and when you go off the button, she'll transition back to the original pose. I'll post the anims for the anal button below so you all can check it out. There's still a few things I need to iron out on it, but it shouldn't take too long to clean up. 

 
I also spent time making the UI for the mini-games since I realized those were going to be needed for the demo. I'm thinking that these will be animated like the sex canvas buttons mentioned above. Not sure if I'll have the button for "Rena Catch" done, since I want the demo out by the end of March and it's already late. It's a conundrum since I want to get the dout as soon as I can, but I also want it to feel as polished as possible since it's been a LONG time since the original demo. But any way, I'll leave the art for the mini-game buttons below. There's a big gap in the middle which is where a pic of Rena will go, similar to the Sex Canvas buttons. But I didn't have the time to get to finishing it this week. 



I worked a little bit on the home background, specifically the grass. I want to start making the background look more pleasing like I mentioned before, but I've realized there's still much art to do, so it might take a bit before I get to properly updating it. But I'll leave what I've done below.

 
So, development has been going well, but there's still a bit to do before the demo gets to a state where I want it to be. But at the same time, I want to get something your hands as soon as I can so you guys can get a feel of how things will be in the game. I wanted to get a UI test demo out to y'all over the weekend, but the anal buttons anims too longer than expected. But once I get that done, I'll make a super basic build so y'all can just mess around with the UI a bit. It'll be free to the public as well since everything leading up to the demo release will be public, and then once the base for it has been established, patrons will be receive updates first and then they will be released to the public later. I hope you all look forward to it. I've forgotten how much work goes into making games, but I hope you will find it worth the wait!

March 11th weekly udate! High Stakes Tango

Heya everyone,
Hope you all have been well and are staying safe and healthy. It was quite a busy week, but I have quite a few things to go over with you all, so let's get to it.
Renapet:
Development is going well. Finished both the home sitting idle animation and anal button anim's tail. (The Tail will be animated separately for the sitting animation in the game, so that's why it's static here).
I also made UI icons for all the Home buttons ( normal, highlighted, disabled, and pressed). And it's controllable through both the mouse and keyboard, so it all feels fluid currently. I wanted to make a small test demo for you all to be able to see the UI yourself, but I'll need a bit more time to wrap it up for you all.
Coding wise, I started implementing the Day cycle system, where you would have a certain amount of energy each day, before you would need to rest. So doing things like sexxing up Rena, training, fighting, or etc, would each take a cell of energy ( You're given 3 per day currently). I still need to implement the UI for it, so I'll try to whip that up and implement it for the UI test demo that should be out in the next day or two depending on how work goes. I also have a good idea of how I'll be handling the UI for Rena Catch, so I'll try to get a mock up of it to you all soon.
Most of this week will be spent on getting the UI test demo out, continue cleaning up the backgrounds, and then doing the implementation for the anal sex scene. Then I'll wheel around and finish up Rena Catch. Hopefully everything goes smoothly.
Pixel animations:
Seems like Shante won the poll for this month! I wanted to something more belly dancing oriented, but I think I'll be able to incorporate some elements from that with the pose I decided on. I already started to lay out the animation as a warm up, so when I have the layout for the animation, I'll make a post on Patreon to show it. 
I also have the story board for the "Zelda's Buff" animation I wanted to do later that I figured I'd share with you all, so you'd have an idea of how it's going to go. It's not a super lewd animation, as it won't have any sex, but I hope you will find it enjoyable when I'm able to find time to work on it. I've posted the animatic storyboard up on Patreon for $2 and up patrons.
I also have a small basic animation wip to show you all featuring Thwompette. Mostly it was just a small idea I wanted to do a while back. It's not a priority now, but the first part of it is currently finished, so I've made a post with the current loop over on my Patreon.
That's pretty much it for this week. I'm gonna be pretty busy going forward with IRL stuff, but I'll be spending my free time trying to get the UI test demo for Renapet for you all, and then working on the rest of the public demo. March 2nd weekly update! Troubled Shooter

Hey all,
Unfortunately the Renapet demo update won't be done by the end of February, but I'm getting close to wrapping it all up.
 I spent most of the week looking into structuring  Godot projects and making sure I was handling things like UI and scene management right. That way I won't have to go back and fix anything as the game expands. I also realized how rough the backgrounds were looking so I spent some time cleaning those up as well. The home menu background still needs work, but the sex scene background is in a much better state. I also still need to do the secondary animation for Rena on the home menu, and do some animations for Rena's tail in various places as well.
 Coding wise, I have most of the menus done, just need to clean up the animations for them a tad.  I want to get the update out as soon as I can, but I want it to have a decent amount of polish since it still won't have a lot of the core gameplay mechanics in yet. So I'm spending a bit more time on the art and anims for the game. 

For RenaCatch, I still need to do the coding for the game mechanics, but I have everything laid out and that shouldn't take long to implement. The bigger thing is how I'm going to convey things to the player as far as UI goes and update it as the game goes on. I need to have the player know how many balls are left, their current score, and how many perfects catches, good catches, and missed catches they have gotten. As well as convey to the player when they need to press the button to get a perfect catch and UI conveying the type of catch they did beyond Rena's animation. Since the game is very similar to it's inspiration, the ball parry game from Street Fighter 3: Third Strike, I might make a similar UI to that. I'll let you all know when I've settle on a UI look. Then I'll add the music and sounds for the game.  
All in all, I'm going to try and wrap everything up in the next two weeks. If I'm lucky and get enough time, I'll have it done in a week and can get pivot to finishing some of my other animation projects. I'll keep you all in the loop of how things go.
I will be bringing back animation polls for March, so the first week will be for voting while I wrap up the Renapet update. Then I'll work on the voted animation once I'm done. I'll the characters you can vote for up soon.
